We were lucky to make it to Everest Base Camp a week before the massive tragedy.  Our journey to EBC was simply amazing and we were very proud to take kids up there for the first time:  14, 11 and 8 years old. Amazing!  Our hearts go out to all of those involved in the tragic avalanche. As you can see in this photo of the Khumbu Ice Fall, there is a LOT of danger involved in climbing Everest.  Visiting it is a must for anyone who loves that mountain, it is a breath taking pilgrimage.  For more photos of this amazing journey check out our 2013 Gallery.  Namaste!
