Sicily is more popular than ever. Why? Well, thank you White Lotus but the landscape is gorgeous, the people are friendly and history runs deep (beyond the God Father!) Sicily offers great hiking and climbing and incredible seafood. We have been running sailing trips in Sicily since before White Lotus and have always loved Sicily.
Our sailing trips visit both of the incredible archipelago’s of Sicily: the Aeolian Islands and the Egadi Islands. Both are stunning areas to sail and explore. Come see for yourself! Sailing trips are 7 days but we encourage you to add days before sailing to hike on Mt. Etna, explore Taormina etc. We also like to add an excursion to MALTA after sailing. Malta is a 90 minute ferry ride from Sicily and well worth exploring.
Mid May to end of September. All trips are 7 days, Saturday to Saturday.
Land Cost includes:
- Experienced Mountain Spirits Guide
- Licensed Skipper
- Hostess/Chef
- All lodging during trip dates
- Meals where noted by B, L, D
- Beer and non alcoholic beverages provided on yacht
- Ground transportation to/from yacht
- Entrance Fees and Permits to parks, historical sights
- Guided activities such as hiking
- City Tour with local guide
Land Cost does not include: International or Domestic Airfare, Travel Insurance (required), tips, excess baggage charges, items of personal nature (laundry, email, alcoholic beverages). Meals on shore during yacht trip are not included in Land Cost.
Sailing and hiking in Croatia has quickly become our most popular trip. The sailing weeks are unmatched for family trips as there is something for everyone! Your week is spent on a deluxe catamaran yacht that sleeps up to 8 people (double occupancy). The yacht comes with an experienced Skipper and Hostess. Trips run Saturday to Saturday from May through September. Your week is spent sailing, hiking, and exploring islands in the sea of your choice ~ Adriatic or Med. We offer 2 types of trips:
1 . Barebones ~ we book the yacht, Skipper and hostess for you and you meet them on the your first day of your sailing week and spend the week with them.
2. Guided ~ a fully guided trip includes a Mountain Spirits guide on the trip with you. We start with a couple of days of hiking on the mainland before the sailing adventure. Once on the trip, we manage all the logistics for you, lead the way on the hikes, etc, so that you can relax and enjoy your holiday.
- Day 1 – Meet your crew and board your yacht late afternoon
- Day 2 -7 Sail, hike, swim, SUP and explore the islands on your sailing route
- Day 8 ~ Depart yacht by 9 am
